JALANDHAR – Drug lord Jagdish Bhola appeared in the court of Kapurthala District and Sessions Judge Gurmeet Ram Banyal, in connection with the murder of ASI Gurdev Singh outside Haveli resort at Phagwara on March 31 last year. He pleaded not guilty in the case.
Bhola was arrested in a synthetic drug case by the Patiala police in November last year. Thereafter, the Kapurthala police booked him for supplying arms to four accused in the ASI murder case. Bhola’s name cropped up in the case after the police reportedly got clues to his links with Rajinder Singh Mintu of Fatehgarh Sahib, booked for the ASI’s murder. The accused killed the ASI who chased them after coming to know that they were carrying drugs.
