Elderly Indo-Canadian Man Sought By Calgary Police For CTrain Sex Assault

CALGARY – An elderly Indo-Canadian man is sought by Calgary police, whoi are hoping the public can help them identify him who they believe touched a woman inappropriately on a CTrain.

The incident took place on Saturday, July 7 around 3:40 p.m., when a woman on a northwest-bound CTrain was approached by a man who sat near her and started talking to her.

Police say after a brief conversation, the man grabbed the woman inappropriately.

The woman moved to the other end of the CTrain and police believe the man got off the train at Dalhousie station.

The suspect is described as a South Asian man between 45 and 65 years old, 5’10” and 6’0″ tall, 165 to 185 lbs and with a long, grey and white beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white turban, either glasses or sunglasses, a white shirt and pants, a black vest, dark dress shoes and a gold watch with a brown strap. He was also carrying a black shoulder bag.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man is being asked to call the police non-emergency line or Crime Stoppers.
