Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will march in the Vancouver Pride Parade July 31 according to the Vancouver Pride Society.”We are excited to announce that @JustinTrudeau will be joining us for his third Vancouver Pride Parade in 2016! #bettertogether #vanpride16,” the Society twitted. Trudeau has marched in the Vancouver parade on two previous occasions but this will be his first appearance as prime minister. He announced he will march in the July 3 Toronto Pride Parade earlier this year. Trudeau has been a vocal advocate of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights. Earlier this month he raised a Pride flag on Parliament Hill in recognition of the people who have “fought a long time” to secure equal rights for LGBT Canadians.
