Vancouver’s Gujarati community welcomed the new IndianConsul in Amar Jit Singh, who arrives from Herat (Afghanistan), where he was India’s Consul General. Although he is a Punjabi but Singh is fluent in Gujarati, having lived in Vadodara, Gujarat in his formative years, Singh’s official role will be Consular, Passport, Visa and Community Affairs.
