The Gursharan Singh Memorial Lecture for 2013 was delivered by Dr. Navsharan Singh and Prof. Atul Sood on September 1 at PICS Seniors Housing Society-Guru Nanak Niwas, in Surrey. The lectures, delivered in Punjabi, were attended by about 100 people. Gursharan Singh has left an enormous imprint on the culture of Punjab and the South Asian community in the Vancouver area. Sadhu Binning, chairing the meeting, remembered the kindred spirits of Bhaji Gursharan Singh and Prof. Hari Sharma, who had left his estate to a foundation in the service of the community. The lecture in Bhaji’s memory was instituted by Hari Sharma Foundation.
