Dr. Arun Garg received the highest award of UBC Dept of Pathology Dr Dave Hardwick Life Time Achievement for his work. “Dr Hardwick is a giant n BC Medicine and to receive award named after him, as recognition by one’s peers, is the best recognition and great news for the community,” Dr. Garg said. “I have had the privilege of being mentor by three great giants of leaders like Drs. Cam Coady, Don Rix and Dave Hardwick in the field of laboratory Medicine and Pathology in the province of British Columbia. It is a great honor that I have been recipient of all 3 awards named in BC medicine after these three giants . I am especially proud as this truly represent our heritage and the community I represent. Community has very special meaning to me and hope for young people of the future to build a healthy civil society and role our community is playing.” Dr. David Hardwick was Professor of Pathology at the University of British Columbia . The award was bestowed on Dr. Garg by Dr. Michael Allard, current Head and Professor at the University.
