Indo-Canadian Among Possible Suspects In Assault Complaint

SURREY – An Indo-Canadianman is among the two possiblesuspects in a Surrey assaultwhich occurred on midnight lastSaturday.Shortly after midnight, SurreyRCMP received a 911 callreporting that a male and afemale had been assaulted in thearea of 10200 block of CityParkway, Surrey.Members of the SurreyR.C.M.P. general Duty attendedto the scene, and located afemale that was laying on theground in front of 10240 CityParkway. The female was bleeding.She was being assisted by aTransit Security staff member.There was also a male with thefemale who had called 911.B.C. Ambulance Service attendedand treated both the maleand female who were injured.The two were transported tohospital where they were treatedfor their injuries. The injurieswere not life threatening.The male and female victimswere approached by two malesnear the Gateway SkytrainStation.An altercation developedbetween the four, and one ofthe two males assaulted the victimswith an unknown weapon,which resulted in both the maleand female being cut.Witnesses described the twomale assailants, as one being adark skin male, possibly Indo-Canadian wearing a darkcoloured puffy jacket and hadan unknown weapon.
