Indo-Canadian Appointed To Langara College Role

VANCOUVER  – Langara College has appointed Ajay Patel as its Vice-President, External Development. In his new role, Patel will be responsible for international education, advancement, continuing studies, institutional research, and communications and marketing.

“We’re pleased that Ajay has accepted this new role within the College,” said Dr. Lane Trotter, President and CEO, Langara College. “Since joining Langara in 2002, he has proven to be a valuable and committed member of our community. He has successfully overseen tremendous growth and diversification of our international student enrolment.”

Patel most recently held the position of Associate Vice President, International and External Development. He was Dean, International Education, from 2012-2015, and division Chair, Health Sciences, in 2010-2012. He joined Langara as an instructor in the Department of Kinesiology (formerly human kinetics).

“Langara is well-positioned as a pathways college to our partners around British Columbia and across Canada. I look forward to further expanding relationships between the college and other organizations, both at home and abroad,” said Patel.

Patel holds a Master of Human Kinetics, Coaching Sciences, from the University of British Columbia.
