KidsPlay, the organization dedicated to engage youth in positive constructive outlets, keeping away from a life of crime, drug abuse, and gang violence, hosted an international students and foreign workers forum on February 27. Over 100 in person and over 1322 virtually participated in the forum. $3000 in scholarships was distributed.

Discussion is a powerful tool for this form of learning. It can help foster a sense of community and encourage peer to peer interaction and improve learner engagement. Organizations and businesses – Translink Police, ICBC, WCI Immigration and Basant Motors were key contributors in ensuring the program was an absolute success.

Sports, education, mentorship, counseling, environment and community engagement are six pillars of KidsPlay Foundation, and free services have been provided to youth and families since 2015. The Foundation has now grown to multiple provinces including Alberta and Ontario, and internationally in Punjab and Colombia. Over 75,000 youth have been through free programs and 30 of the core members have now gone onto becoming police officers, sheriffs, and young professionals.
