Super Cop Kal Dosanjh Tackles Gang Violence Head On While City Officials Do Nothing

While Surrey Mayor Linda Hepner and her team remain silent and refuse to even comment to the media on the 12 shootings within two weeks in Surrey, people like Super Cop Kal Dosanjh and his KidsPlay organization along with other community-minded individuals are tackling gang violence head on. After the success of their recent Anti Racism Forum, KidsPlay, along with the Canadian Pressure Organization, held a forum on Youth Gangs Violence last Sunday at the Grand Taj Banquet Hall in Surrey, which brought out community and police stake holders in trying to stop the cycle of increasing violence in Surrey by educating and enlightening youth and families to follow the righteous path. The forum was an effort to bring about a change in the lives of our youth. The panel of speakers included uniformed RCMP Officers, representatives from Surrey School District, gurdwaras, and other prominent organizations. They spoke about their take on this issue, and about initiatives they have taken up to work towards the betterment of youth. Dosanjh says KidsPlay believes in “building a better future for our youth, one game at a time.” For more information contact KidsPlay at [email protected]
