SURREY: The first meeting of the year 2024 of Ghazal Manch Surrey was held under the chairmanship of the president of the Manch and renowned poet Jaswinder on January 15. The meeting revied the activities carried out by the Manch last year.
The General Secretary of the Manch, Devinder Gautam, expressed his satisfaction with the literary programs organized by Manch last year and said that it was a matter of pride that last year Manch worked to connect many new literary readers and listeners through its programs.
He said that during last year, through various events, the books of Manch poets Krishna Bhanot, Rajwant Raj, Devinder Gautam, and Paul Dhillon were presented to the public and special programs were organized with guest writers from outside. The Manch has also started publishing books. He said that this forum will continue to organize such activities and programs this year.
Speaking on the occasion, poet Rajwant Raj informed that Ghazal Manch Surrey will launch its own website January 28, 2024 at City Center Library Surrey.
During the meeting, a book of ghazals by Toronto poet Kulwinder Khaira, ‘Hanere di Tali Te’ was released. Krishan Bhanot, Dashmesh Gill Feroze, Hardam Singh Maan, Preet Manpreet and Randeep Khaira were also present in this meeting.
