SURREY – It’s that time of the year again! Many South Asian families start planning their big trip to India to do all the wedding shopping for the upcoming festivities. It is a well-known fact that the South Asian community are one of the top spenders when it comes to planning a wedding, which has become a week-long production rather than just a weekend event.With the launch of Love Ishq Pyar Wedding & Lifestyle show a year ago, the event organizers understood the need for local Surrey/Vancouver vendors to connect with community. This past March, they also produced the first ever South Asian Wedding FASHION Show which highlighted 3 talented designers. All the shows have been well-received by the community mainly because going to a Wedding Show makes life a lot easier for the bridal couple and their families. It’s a one-stop shop for all their wedding needs!
The upcoming Fall show will take place on Saturday, October 15th from 12pm – 6pm at the prestigious Royal King Palace in Surrey’s Payal Business Centre. This year, the event organizers will be celebrating Karwa Chauth with the community, since it falls on the same day as the event. Karwa Chauth is an annual one-day festival celebrated by Hindu and some Sikh women in North India and parts of Pakistan in which married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands.
Admission for the event is free to the public and a free 2012 Love Ishq Pyar wedding planner book will be available for the bridal couples. There will be 40+ wedding vendors on-site, tons of prizes to be won and a beautiful fashion segment showcasing all the latest designs in Bridal fashion.
