Golden Sikh Cultural Society holds first ever Nagar Kirtan to commemorate heritage designation for being the first temple in North America located in Golden, B.C. back in 1890. GOLDEN – The 1st Gurdwara in North America has now been traced by historians back to 1890, on a piece of land in the current town of Golden, B.C. In the traditions that saw people travel to different Gurdwaras for different commemorations, we welcome all to be part of the “travelling sangat” to be a part of history, once again.
