Neelam Brar Running For Federal Liberals In Burnaby-South

BURNABY – Neelam Brar is running as the Liberal Party Candidate for Burnaby South where she has lived for over 20 years.

She is the daughter of community leader Naib Singh Brar, Notary Public. As a daughter of immigrants, Neelam say she knows how to strengthen our middle class, grow access to well-paying jobs, and help families with real issues.

Neelam attended Seaforth Elementary in Burnaby and was in youth leadership programs: Brownies, Girl Guides and Sea Cadets. She swam at CG Brown Pool, ran track at Swangard Stadium, and played soccer in many Burnaby parks.

Neelam is a businesswoman with degrees from top international schools: Columbia University, London Business School and the Richard Ivey School of Business.

She started her career at Morgan Stanley in Toronto working with Canada’s leading companies in healthcare, natural resources, and industrials. After joining Citibank US, she helped grow North American & Asian companies by developing and advising on capital strategies. To make a bigger difference, Neelam advocated for more diversity in business with a focus on women and minority groups.

Neelam’s career experience and local roots provide her with a deep understanding of our local issues, and the importance of sustainable growth and innovation in the wake of affordability, environmental responsibility and community.
