It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father: Haribans Ghirra who passed away peacefully on January 26th at the age of 74. He was born in Nangal Khurd (Near Mahilpur) district Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India on March 11th, 1941.His goal in life was to work hard and provide for his family in order for them to be happy. Haribans will be known for his polite manner, being there for people in need and leading when needed.
Haribans was a devoted sewadar, being a founding member of Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha and he served guru ghar as a Chairman, President, Trustee and in other roles for over 30 years. He believed that community service is a fundamental aspect of life and he made it a mission to make special contributions toward various projects helping the community. He leaves behind his loving wife: Mrs. Mohinder Kaur Ghirra, sons, daughter-in-laws, and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The funeral ceremony will take place at Riverside Funeral Home (7410 Hopcott Road, Delta) at 9:00 am on Sunday, Feb.7th 2016. Prayers will taking place at Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha (7271 Gilley, Burnaby).
