Some Christian researchers suggest that the Sons of God, spoken of in the Bible, are the offspring of the Nephilim, fallen angels, who mixed with the Daughters of Men, and they were literal giants who roamed the Earth. These researchers also assert that the term, Son of God, cites Jesus as an actual and only Son of The Father.

In the Bible, some characters are clear symbols and some are not. With respect to oddities as giants, Michael A. Cremo and Richard L. Thompson suggest that the archaeological establishment has discovered the skeletal remains of human giants. Moreover, cultures from around the world share stories of titans who once walked the Earth. The ancient Indians, Sumerians, Greeks, Chinese, Aboriginal Americans, and so on, all tell stories of giants. Some of these stories have taken on a fictional aura and these stories were slowly embellished and given the characteristics common to a myth. Yet, this isn’t how the tales were first told or read.

Nevertheless, I don’t agree with those who believe the Sons of God were the same giants the ancient world tells of. Nor do the Gospels support this assertion. The term, Son of God, was used differently by the old world and as the Gospels were written.

The ancients of the world denoted an individual deserving of the title, Christ, a Son of God. Sons of God were the highest spiritual adepts. When Jesus is referred to as a Son of God, it’s as an advanced spiritual master—the highest of. This doesn’t mean Jesus was conceived by The Source or that he was born a Son of The Great Architect.

With this understanding, Jesus was a Son of God, and because he merged with The One, he was also The Father.

The term, Sons of God, refers to more than one spiritual master. Supposedly, the Sons of God ruled parts of the ancient world—preflood. In the epoch prior to the one we suffer in. The Divine right to rule was theirs. Guided by God’s Spirit, they built civilizations.

The epoch that shelters the most Sons of God is the first, with each king as a Son. In each proceeding age, they become fewer in number. Not all the kings of the previous age were Sons of God.

In the Sumerian tradition, as translated by Zecharia Sitchin, these Sons of God were the Annunaki and possible extra-terrestrials. However, I’m not convinced. This isn’t what the other ancient cultures are suggesting such as the Egyptians, Indians, and Mayans. The notion of spiritual adepts living on Earth and wisely ruling kingdoms, as ideal leaders, more so reverberates with my understanding of the old world than aliens ruling mankind.

The Sons of God, the adepts, in the previous age, were forced to ascend, but before they did they decided to create children with the Daughters of Men—the non-adepts.

Supposedly, with the coming of the next age, the cosmic vibrations would corrupt the constitution of the spiritual masters, and if they stayed, they would fall back into the body and the spirit would again become secondary—they would no longer hold their status as spiritual adepts. The vibrations of the aeon they lived in permitted them to be as they were and to link with The Father. They walked in God’s Will. The vibrations of this epoch, the age they decided to forego, do not favour the spiritual adepts and student-initiates. That’s why few Christs—few Sons of God—have blessed this planet in the past 5000 years. The cosmic energies do not favour their survival. Thus, they ascended to occasionally descend as a person. In their kindness, before leaving, they decided to create offspring, so the spiritual essence within their blood might remain on Earth and provide hope. The era we exist in, the Age of Iron, is a time of spiritual ignorance. The Universe allows for this. In danger are those who attempt to walk the saintly path. The world works against them. The world attempts to destroy them. The world is in darkness. So suggest almost all the ancient cultures I studied.

The post-flood ancient Egyptians, Hopis, Indians, Greeks, Mayans, and Romans all valued this idea of the different epochs, with Greek philosophy hosting an additional age, the Age of Heroes. The Indians named each era a Yug (Yuga). The Hopis used the word, World. The Mayans labelled each epoch a Sun. TO BE CONTINUED…
