Police Seek Help To Identify Man Who Cabbie Robbed After Ride To Surrey

SURREY – Langley RCMP is seeking thepublic’s assistance to identify a male suspectinvolved in a robbery of a cab driver onDecember 13th of last year.At approximately 2 am that morning, twoCaucasian males entered a cab and asked togo to 196th Street and Fraser Highway. Themales indicated they did not have enoughmoney to pay for the ride back to Surrey.As they arrived at their requested destination,the suspect seated behind the driverreached to the front consoleand took the iPhone of thecab driver. The driverattempted to retrieve his propertyat which time the suspectpunched him in the head.Both males exited the vehicleand fled on foot.The suspect is described asCaucasian, in his late 20’s withshort hair and appears to bescruffy looking.
