MOGA – The Vigilance Bureau today caught Sukhdip Singh, General Manager, Punjab Roadways, Moga, for accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a transporter.
Surinder Kumar, DSP, said Khushkaran Singh of Bathinda and his partners had given four buses to the Punjab Roadways under the kilometre scheme at Rs 6.81 per/km. One of the buses was on the Moga-Jalandhar route, covering 200 km. The GM demanded Rs 20,000 from Kushkaran to extend the route. Khushkaran paid Rs 5,000 to the GM on August 19 and the rest of the amount this week.
