The Punjabi film Punjab 1984 received a global launch in Surrey on Wednesday with stars Diljit Dosanjh and Rana Ranbir, as well as producer Manmord Singh Sidhu taking questions from both the Indo-Canadian and mainstream media. Well known local businessman Daljit Thind is also involved as producer in the film and was also in attendance at the press conference. Punjab 1984 is another film that recounts the crimes against humanity in the bloody days in Punjab in the mid 1980s! For the audience it could be a bit overkill as so many films have been made on this era! It will have to connect with the audiences on a different level to be successful! The film is directed by Anurag Singh and tells the story of a mother and her missing son.
