SURREY – Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi is the latest Punjabi singer to venture into films with the release of his upcoming Punjabi film Khushiyaan on 14th October.
Jassi was in Surrey on Monday and told the LINK that unlike other Punjabi singers he is only venturing into films because he wants to see meaningful Punjabi cinema and it is his small attempt to help create films that are for mass viewers as well as film festivals./
Khushiyaan has been produced by Kanhiya Film Production and has been directed by Emmy nominated Tirlok Malik of Lonely in America fame.
Jassi described Khushiyaan as a family drama starring well-known names from Punjabi and Hindi cinema – Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rama Vij, Tisca Chopra, Deep Dhillon, Shrey Bawa,Vipin Sharma, Vivek Shauq, Gurpreet Guggi and himself in the lead role.
