Rainbow Anthology Launched!

The “Rainbow” anthology of the South Asian writers of Canada, which has been produced by the South Asian Literary Society of Canada, was launched jointly by  by the Hindi Pracharini Sabha of Canada  and an  International Hindi Quarterly-“HIndi Chetna” on November 24, 2015 at Markham Public Library. The organizor of the event Prof. Shyam Tripathi, the chief editor of Chetna welcomed the guests and  book- Rainbow was launched. Surekha Tripathi honored Acharya Dwivedi . Ranjana performed well as a  MC .Acharya Shrinath Dwivedi focused on the importance of promoting   minority language’s literature to the main stream readers and writers by getting it translated into English  language. Mr Logan Kanapathi, Councillor of the City of Markham appreciated the contribution of SALSOC in preserving and promoting the South Asian  literature and assured to get copies of Rainbow in all branches of the public libraries of the  City. Some of the prominent Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Bangla writers of Metro Toronto participated in the function.  Shyam Tripathi, Deepti Achla Kumar, Dr. Bhartendu Srivasatava, Dr.Shivnadan Singh Yadav , Kanti Dwivedi, Acharya Sandeep Kumar Tyagi and Devendra Mishra recited the poems.
