Roundtable With Muslim Community!

NDP MP Jinny Sims and Mufti Aasin Rashid of The BC Muslim Association held a roundtable meeting of the stakeholders and Muslim community leaders last Saturday October 18,  at the Surrey Jamea Masjid. The objective was to partner with the community to discuss ways of combating and preventing radicalization. Sims said “We believe that greater emphasis must be placed on ensuring youth have positive support and options in the community, and want to hear ideas on how to move forward. We know that we have to enhance co-operation across communities in order to stem the tide of radicalization. Whatever our differences, the safety and security of every Canadian is paramount”.
