Save Canada Post!

Surrey NDP MPs Jinny Sims (Newton-North Delta) and Jasbir Sandhu (Surrey North) will be at residents’ doorsteps this weekend in an effort to save Canada Post. On May 3, MPs across the country, along with volunteers, will gather petition signatures as part of the NDP’s National Day of Action on Canada Post. Recent changes for Canada Post include drastic increases in postage prices and proposals to eliminate home delivery for millions of urban customers. These changes are expected to result in the dismissal of thousands of Canada Post employees. “While reliable and accessible postal services are vital to the lives of all Canadians, these changes will specifically and drastically impact the lives of seniors, persons who have mobility issues and persons who are homebound,” says MP Sandhu.
