School Girl Abducted, Gang-Raped In Ludhiana

LUDHIANA – A 15-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly gang-raped. The incident took place when the girl, a student of Class V of a government school, Jawaddi Kalan, was on her way back home motorcycle-borne persons allegedly abducted her.

The accused first took her to Alamgir and then brought her to secluded room on the Dhandra road. She was then gang-raped by four persons. They later dropped her near Drumwala chowk, Dugri, at 11 pm and threatened her of dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident.

Her brother found her walking back near Dugri area. The girl claimed she knew two of the rapists. One of them was a father of two. Two accused have been identified as Arjun and Tota.

The police have registered a case under Sections 366 A (abduction of minor girl), 376 D (gang-rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and Section (3) of the Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act 2012. ASI Darbara Singh said raids were on to nab the accused.
