SGPC Writes To Central Board Of Film Certification To Lift Ban On Punjabi Film Sada Haq

AMRITSAR – Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has written to Central Board of Film Certification to allow the exhibition of film Sada Haq.

The movie that depicts the events from the days of terrorism in Punjab in the early 80s and was banned.

In a letter written to Dipesh Mehta, Member, Central Board of Film Certification on Tuesday , SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar said that “the committee is of the unanimous opinion that the film “Sada Haq’ does not contain anything like a threat to the unity and integrity of the country and we, therefore, approach you with a request that with a minor clipping of vulgar, abusive or provocative language, where necessary, the decision regarding the film may kindly be reviewed and exhibition of the film be allowed with U certificate to avoid the anguish of the community against refusal of certification”.
