SURREY – The inaugural session of the Surrey Night Market came to an end two weeks ago and the organizers say it was a successful experience from which they will learn from

“On behalf of the Surrey Night Market, we would like to thank the public, our vendors and partners for their unconditional support in making our first season a success.  We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the management and staff of the Cloverdale Rodeo & Exhibition Association, City of Surrey, Bylaws and Licensing Department, Fraser Health, RCMP, Fire Department, St. John Ambulance, Cops for Cancer, Cypress Security, Stage Performers, media and sponsors, and our contracted staff, friends & volunteers,” said a press release from the organizers

Spokesperson and one of the organizers Satbir Cheema said it was a very humble beginning on his team’s part to provide fun times to the local families living in the Fraser Valley.  “We made a very sincere effort to include something for every member of the family – food, merchandize, entertainment and rides for children.  It was a very good learning experience for us and we are very grateful for the feedback from the attendees.  We will do our best to incorporate the suggested changes next year,” he said.

In 2015, the Surrey Night Market will operate for a longer duration – possibly from the last weekend of May to mid-September.  We will try to open the night market on Sundays as well.  For more information on the next year’s “bigger and better” operations, you can contact us at [email protected] or 604-805-3440.
