Tackling Radicalization In Youth

The Ahmidya Muslim Jamaat organized an Interfaith Symposium on February 24 at their Baitur Rahman Mosque in Delta. A large number of young boys and girls attended the symposium. Omar Chaudhry was the person who arranged the speakers. The program started with the prayer from the verses of  holy Quran and its translation in English language was provided. The theme of the symposium was – “Tackling Radicalization in Faiths”. The key note speaker was Chief Constable Neil Dubord from Delta Police Department. Based upon his personal experiences he spoke on the crime prevention and role of religion.  Speakers -Imam Balal Khokhar(Islam), Acharya S.P.Dwivedi (Hinduism), Balwant Singh Sanghera (Sikhism), Rabbi Laura Duhan Kaplan (Judaism) and Rev. Tim Kuepfer (Christianity) reflected their views  on the theme. All the speakers were honored with gifts. The president of the Mosque N. Lakhan thanked the speakers and guests. The guests were entertained with refreshments.
