These days the India’s Narendra Modi led Govt. is acting very tough and making big speeches to end terrorists and terrorism in the country. But the most unfortunate thing is that ruling Govt, Justice system Media etc. always ignore the reasons that lead youngsters to terrorist activities. One thing they all should know that nobody is born as terrorist. Terrorists are created by the wrong doings, atrocities, innocent killings, unfair Justice etc. of the ruling Govt especially against certain particular groups and religious minorities. Over the years most of the terrorist activities followed the innocent killings by State supported mobs. And ruling Govt and police not taking any action against mobs to save lives and even afterwards not making any effort to arrest, charge and punish the guilty persons. And most of the persons accused of terrorist activities were good law abiding citizens who were forced to react and become terrorists trying to punish the guilty persons involved in innocent killings.
We can look at the lives of many people who were called terrorists by the Govt that all of them were very good law abiding citizens, leading good, peaceful lives earlier. But suddenly some tragic unfortunate incidents took place that forced them to fight back against injustice.
Not talking of many previous so called terrorist, Let us just talk about most recent terrorist in news and hanged for his activities Yakub Menon. Yakub was a very successful Chartered Accountant and Businessman and the whole Memon family was well off financially and wasn’t involved in any terrorist activity before 1992. Then Maharashtra riots took place and thousand innocent persons were killed but the ruling Govt never took any action against the guilty persons. Those innocent killings and Govt. not punishing the guilty persons forced Memons to give up their good successful lives to get revenge and led them to become terrorists and plan the bomb blasts. But had the ruling Govt. Of that time acted to save lives during the riots and acted to arrest and punish the guilty persons then Memons might not have become terrorists and there wouldn’t have been any bomb blasts and innocent killings in 1993.
One thing Govt must accept that nobody is born as a Terrorist. It is always the wrong actions and no actions of Justice that force some people to become terrorists. If the Govt really wants to finish terrorism then they must change their own ways too. Be fair and equal to all citizens in their Governance. Don’t incite communal tensions and violence for their political benefits. Govt must make every effort to save lives from innocent killings and then charge and punish the guilty political leaders who incited and led mobs to kill innocent persons. And even take action against the guilty police officers who failed to perform their jobs and helped mobs kill innocent persons. If we really get such ruling Govt then we won’t see persons like Yakub Memon giving up their good successful lives and become terrorists. And no innocent lives will be lost in bomb blasts etc. It all depends upon the ruling Govt and political leaderships if they really want to end terrorism in the country.
