Three South Asian Men Arrested After Stabbing Kills One In Brampton

TORONTO – The Peel police have arrested three South Asian men after a double stabbing near a Brampton home in March left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Police arrested 22-year-old Manpreet Singh, from Milton, 22-year-old Dave Ramlogan, from Mississauga, 20-year-old Hakeem Ottley, from Brampton, on Wednesday on first-degree murder charges.

Police were called to an address on McGraw Ave. around 1 p.m. Mar. 25 after reports of a stabbing. Two men were walking near a house when a group of three men approached them with a knife and stabbed each in the torso, police said.

A 30-year-old man from Brampton was taken to hospital with serious injuries and survived. His brother, 25-year-old Joshua Hilario, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

All three will be held for a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
