After scoring a number of steady hits in Punjabi with his writing talent, that included “Range” By Jassi Gill, local young singer-songwriter Karan Aujla recorded his first hit “Cel Phone” last year.  The collaboration with Mac Benipal proved to be very popular with the younger crowd.  Now, just having turned eighteen, the Burnaby youngster is in India and is set to make his solo debut.  A number of recordings will be followed by a series of music video releases.  The first video “Choolay” (name for the old style mud stoves used in villages) will be emotionally charged and is aimed at the broader audiences and age group.  “It deals with the problems of today.  Problems that parents face and the wrong turn that youngsters can sometimes take.   In the end there is only sadness as no one wins from the crime and sometimes the glory or mistake of a just a few minutes can affect many people for their remaining lives.  The anger of minutes results in a lifetime of afterthought and regret,” says Aujla. The video and songs will be released in the coming weeks.
