Khalsa Wrestling club celebrated their annual awards banquet recognizing their athletes and team’s achievements last Saturday in Richmond. The main purpose of this year’s banquet was to celebrate the victory of Khalsa Wrestling Club winning the team title as national champions. They are the top ranked program in Canada. Furthermore, Senior national team members Arjan Bhullar, Manjot Sandhu, and Gurdeep Beesla were recognized for their achievements. Arjan Bhullar was recognized as he will be representing Canada at the Summer Olympic Games this year in London, England, being the first ever punjabi to qualify in Men’s Freestyle Wrestling. Also, Parm Dhesi and Prabdeep Sanghera were presented with awards for competing at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
