OTTAWA -Jagdish Kaur, a1984 massacre of Sikhs victimand witness against Congressleader Sajjan Kumar, has handedover a memorandum to MPsof three parties in Canadianparliament urging them to bringa motion in theCanadian House fordebate on whether theriots were genocide asdefined in Article 2 ofthe UN Convention.On InternationalHuman Rights Day,Jagdish Kaur, who losther husband, a son andthree brothers in the massacre,met the MPs and narrated herharrowing tale of witnessing themass killings and emphasizedthat these were not “riots” butgovernment-sponsored masskillings.
