KHANNA – Residents ofGosla village formed a fivememberaction committee toput pressure on the police toarrest those involved in theKhanna shootout in whichKulwinder Singh (21), a localyouth, was killed.Khanna Youth Akali Dal(Rural) president YadwinderSingh Yadu and JatinderSingh alias GP, an Akalisarpanch of Kauri village, areamong 10 persons bookedunder Section 302 (murder)of the IPC.Hardev Singh,sarpanch of Gosla village, said:”We have given a 72-hour ultimatumto the police for arrestingthe suspects. We will not relentand continue our protest till thetime the culprits are put behindbars.” The victim’s parents,Mohan Singh and Dayal Kaur,were inconsolable.”Why did they kill my son? Hedid not belong to any gang. Hewas a wrestler. He was so excitedabout his sister’s wedding onMarch 2,” said Mohan Singh.
