The Patiala police have unearthed another internationalsynthetic drug racket worth Rs 6,000 crore with the arrest ofits mastermind, Canadian national Devinder Singh alias Dev,from Rajasthan. Singh’s arrest comes on the heels of a numberof other high profile Indo-Canadians, especially those from theKabaddi clubs, who have been named by Punjab police in theirbust of Punjab drug cartel boss Jagdish Singh Bhola. Many ofthose charged in Punjab with drug smuggling but who remainfree in Canada have made much noise about them being innocentbut most local people say that these people are rightly charged.Many have put this questions to those protesting their innocence– that why don’t they go to Punjab and prove their innocence?
