BATHINDA – A case of abetment to suicide has been registered against the wife of an Army jawan. The police booked Dolly Sharma (27) after her husband Sonu Sharma committed suicide by hanging himself yesterday at the Army quarters in the Shivaji Colony here.
Cantonment SHO Kuldeep Singh said the couple had a five-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter.
It was learnt from a suicide note recovered from the diary of the deceased today that he was taking the extreme step due to continuous nagging by his wife.
The SHO said the neighbours informed the police that the couple had been fighting over trivial issues. The jawan was deployed with the 17 wireless as a cook.
