CM Badal To Lead ‘Clean India’ Campaign

CHANDIGARH – Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would lead the state-wide “Mission Swachh Bharat” at a state-level function to be held at Talwandi Sabo. An official spokesperson said all government employees would report at their offices at 9 am and after taking an oath on cleanliness, they would participate in the campaign.

The Chief Minister would administer the oath on cleanliness to government officials at Talwandi Sabo whereas at district headquarters, the oath would be administered by ministers and other dignitaries.

The Chief Secretary would administer the oath to the officers/officials posted at the Civil Secretariat. In various boards, corporations and statutory bodies, head of the board would lead the function.

The spokesperson said similar functions would be held at all schools, colleges, technical universities, training institutes, hospitals and police stations.

The event would be organised in every village by the panchayat concerned where the sarpanch would administer the oath. In the municipal committees and corporations, mayors and chairmen would administer the oath. Instructions have been issued to make the function a success by making the cleanliness drive a national movement.
