Andy Smith, the newly appointed container trucking commissioner, met with members of the Indo-Canadian media on Monday to talk about his role and how he plans to solve the dispute between BC truckers and Port Metro Vancouver. He said he will be fair to both sides of the dispute and his job as an independent mediator will be to find out all the facts before bringing in fair resolution including getting many of the truckers barred jobs with existing companies and fair compensation for those who have been affected by the dispute.
