On Tuesday, February 17, Muriel Arnason Library celebrated its 7th annual Chinese New Year event. Around 175 people of all ages participated in the event and enjoyed decorating the lanterns, coloring the sheets, and making the lucky envelopes, and enjoyed the music and the New Year’s foods. Muriel Arnason Library was filled with people of all ages during the afternoon’s festivities. This time the lantern craft was the main attraction for everyone. Langley based artists Kosheng Ko and Su-Chen Huang were present to teach the Chinese craft and help the attendees in making the lanterns beautiful. Volunteers Lisa Zhu, Bill Shi, and Lucy Wang also helped people for the craft. At the end of the program, Community Librarian Dr. Sarwan Singh Randhawa wished everyone a Happy New Year, and thanked the attendees, volunteers, and the media.
