KidsPlay is a non-profit organization working towards keeping kids away from the lifestyle of drugs, gangs, and violence.
KidsPlay holds sports tournaments, conferences, and other projects for the youth community to learn about the opportunities they can seize in life. The organization is operated by leaders from all across the Lower Mainland wanting to bring positive change to the community.
The success was seen through their recent 2023 World Cup at BC Place in which hosted over 800 youth, all 100% free of cost.
Now with the school year coming to a close, KidsPlay has concluded their weekly mentorship programs run in Surrey, Langley and Abbotsford schools, graduating over 100 kids at their programs and awarding scholarships to volunteers graduating highschool to pursue post secondary.
The team is now gearing up for their annual Summer Camps. It is important for kids to continue to receive support and mentorship even when school is out, and KidsPlay’s free summer camps ensure our kids and youth engage in positive constructive outlets and become responsible contributors in their communities.
With programs being completely free, KidsPlay is breaking barriers, allowing children from all socioeconomic backgrounds an equal chance at achieving their goals. Sports, mentorship, drug and gang education, mental health and counselling, environment, and community patrolling are the six pillars and all initiatives and programs fall within this framework.
