SACRAMENTO – Jaspal Singh was shotdead by a California police officer inBakersfield following a call about adomestic dispute.The police received the call at 8 in themorning. When two police officersarrived on the spot, Singh was reportedlyoutside his car, holding a firearm.Singh, 45, belonged to Bharo Majra villagenear Phagwara. He was a truck driver,who had migrated to California 10years ago. He was under depression andis survived by his wife and two children.The Police Department said one of theofficers fired from his duty weapon whenSingh pointed his gun at them.Hit numerous times, Singh was taken to alocal hospital where he was pronounceddead. It is unclear whether the deceasedhad fired or not.
