MUMBAI – Nargis Fakhri, who made her Bollywood debut with Rockstar (2011) will soon be seen in a few anticipated projects like Madras Café with John Abraham, Main Tera Hero with Varun Dhawan and the remake of Shaukeen opposite Akshay Kumar.

The actor clearly has her plate full right now; so when we brought up the dreaded “When will you marry?” question recently, she admitted that she was willing to remain unmarried for life.

Nargis, who was born in Queens, New York, to a Czech mother and a Pakistani father, doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage. “I don’t believe in marriage. I don’t come from the same culture. It doesn’t make sense to me. So I have no plans to get married,” says Nargis.

Though, the actor’s parents split-up when she was barely six or seven years old, Nargis cites a completely different reason for her thoughts on marriage. “I want to be an independent woman. I will make my own career and money, so it’s okay if I don’t get married at all,” says the 33-year-old actor.

Nargis is currently focusing on her career. She says, “I am enjoying my career and doing the best that I can. I think I am doing well and have a couple of interesting projects coming up in the future. I think I am going to stay here for long.”
