FAZILKA – An unemployed youth allegedly committed suicide by setting himself afire near the Sacred Heart Convent School.
Local musician Manjinder Taneja said his son Amandeep Singh (24), who was an engineer, failed to get a job even after applying for various positions. He then went into depression, Taneja said.
He further said Amandeep left the house late last evening and did not return. The family members then searched for him throughout the night.
Later, they found that his charred body was kept in the mortuary at the local civil hospital. The police had taken him to the hospital. Taneja said no suicide note had been recovered
