SURREY – This is a very exciting time for Punjabi cinema, we are witnessing more and more quality Punjabi films from all genres. Whether its cinematography, sound, or editing, Punjabi filmmakers worldwide are progressing from strength to strength in the art of filmmaking.
Therefore there could not be a better time to showcase the first Ma Boli Punjabi Film Festival, Vancouver. This film festival is organized by Punjabi Film Club Surrey, a group of Punjabi Filmmakers based in Vancouver, Surrey, and Abbotsford.
One of the first film festivals to be organized in Punjabi in Canada, the Ma Boli International Film Festival will showcase global Punjabi films for North American audiences. The festival aims at promoting Punjabi films and filmmakers and is scheduled to be held from April 19 to 21,2013 at different venues in Surrey.
