Local Sikhs held a protest outside of the Indian Consulate General’s office in downtown Vancouver to urge the Indian government to release political prisoners who have been jailed in India beyond the time they are required to serve under the law. The protestors shouted slogans and marched around the block where the Consulate office is located.
