SUVA – Three sexual offence reports in the Western and Southern division are being investigated by Police.
A 15 year old boy is being questioned for allegedly sexually abusing a three year old girl. The alleged incident happened on Monday afternoon.
In a separate report, a 20 year old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 14 year old girlfriend who is now one month pregnant.
In another report, police have arrested a man and is questioning him for allegedly raping his 15 year old mentally challenged stepdaughter.
Police Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said people need to stop ignoring this problem and families need to start talking about sexual offences with their children.
He said members of the community should stop being embarrassed about this issue and start addressing it as our children are becoming the victims as well as the perpetrators.
