While inTexas, her dramatic short filmRevival won multiple awardsincluding Best Short atWorldFest Houston, Best Actorand Audience Award at CinemaTexas, and Honorary Mentionfor Best Ensemble Acting at theDamah Film Festival.The film screened on public television,museums and theDirector’s Guild of America.Meghna made the award winningfeature documentary Dirt whichwon multiple Leo awards forBest Screenwriting, Editing,Sound and Best Documentary atthe Female Eye Film Festival.Meghna has won grants andawards from NFB, Telefilm, BCArts Council, Canada Councilamongst others. She is an alumniof the prestigious Women in theDirector’s Chair-Banff Centre,Melting Silos and NationalScreen Institute Features FirstProgram. “Newcomers Swim,Every Friday” her latest shorthad its world premiere at St.John’s Women’s InternationalFilm Festival and screens atVancouver International Womenin Film Festival on March 7th.She is presently working on afeature drama to be shot in Indiaand Canada.
