SURREY – The Surrey Steelers soccer champions, formerly known as Surrey White caps, won the34th 7-11 Slurpee Invitational
Championship in their division of U 14th Boys soccer Silver category. The tournament was held on the May long weekend in Kamloops. Steelers is a truly multicultural and multi ethnic team. which represents the true make up of Surrey residents.
Steelers have 16 soccer players from 9 different nations and cultures who have been playing soccer as a team for more than 5 years.
The team, which also won the Conference cup representing CCB of Surrey youth soccer for this year, are playing in the Gold division this spring and intend to enter as a gold U 14th come this fall.
