Sukhbir Badal Says He Won’t Seek Resignations Of Akali Ministers Linked To Drug Cartel

AMRITSAR – Deputy Chief Minister SukhbirSingh Badal rejected the Congress’ demand forresignations of three SAD ministers for theiralleged links with Maninder Singh Bittu Aulakh.Talking to the mediapersons after laying the foundationstone of a township, Sukhbir said theCongress was left with no issues against the stategovernment and was thus resorting to baselessstatements.He said the Congress should instead praise thegovernment for acting tough against thoseinvolved in the drug racket irrespective of theirpositions. He said the recent arrests were theresult of the government’s intensified driveagainst drugs which had led to huge drug recoveries.On the Delhi assembly elections, he claimedthat the SAD would win all four seats it was contesting.He said the state would soon be powersurplus. The state’s road network would bestrengthened within the next three years.He expressed hope that the state would attractmore industrial investment in view of the its“impressive infrastructure”.
