Man Kills Wife, Three Kids Before Shooting Himself

FEROZEPUR – A man shotdead his wife and his threeminor children before shootinghimself in his house inFerozepur’s TuriBazaar on Mondaynight. The deceasedPankaj Gakhar (35),owner of a flourishingwholesalekiryana business,had strained relations with hiswife Esha for some time.Though the reason behind thedispute could not be ascertained,sources said the duooften got into heated arguments.One such argument yesterdaytook a fatal turn for thefive-member family. SSPManminder Singh SSP saidPankaj returnedhome after closinghis shop around 9.30pm yesterday andlocked the maindoor. He directlywent to his roomupstairs and returned with a .12bore rifle. His mother JanakRani saw him with the rifle andtried to intervene, but he hit herwith the rifle and locked her upin the washroom.
