Student organizers have moved Indo-British International singing sensation’s concert to a private facility, off-campus.

SURREY – The City of Surrey is using the Stanley Cup riot excuse to cancel the outdoor concert of Indo-British International singing sensation Jay Sean.

The city pulled the permits for Jay Sean’s free outdoor concert at Kwantlen University, claiming that the concert would draw crowds much larger than anticipated.

They came to this conclusion after learning that the headliner was Jay Sean, and not a local act.

RCMP Corporal Drew Grainger said it became obvious, there wasn’t enough planning to accommodate crowds of over 9000 people.

“Going back to the Stanley Cup debriefs that we’ve been reading about, ” says Grainger, “…those are things we have to mindful of, when we have large, unexpected crowds congregating in an area that’s not designed to hold that many people, with accessibility to alcohol.”
